Home & the setup checklist

Home is the first page you land on after signing in (sidebar label Home). It gathers your setup progress, the last 7 days of activity, your click usage, and your newest links onto one page. Everything on it is read-only; creating and editing happens on the pages Home links to.

Platform admin accounts never see it; they land on the admin dashboard instead.

This page covers what each section shows and what you can do from it. It does not cover reading analytics in depth (Analytics), payments and plan changes (Billing & subscription), or the domain verification lifecycle (Custom domains).

Complete the setup checklist

Until the checklist is complete, Home leads with its three items under the heading "N of 3 complete" and a thin progress bar:

ItemCompletes whenHow
Create your first linkYour org has at least one linkClick the row. It opens the same create-link flow as Links → Create link.
Add a custom domainYour org has at least one custom domainClick the row to go to domain setup.
Receive your first matchA deferred deep link has matched on a fresh install in the last 365 daysIntegrate the SDK; the row links to the SDK docs. Its description: "A deferred deep link matched on a fresh install proves your SDK integration is live".

Completed rows turn muted with a strikethrough and stop being clickable. When all three are done, the checklist collapses away and does not leave a placeholder behind.

Two hints you might see instead of an action:

  • If your role is below developer, the two rows that create things read "Requires developer access — ask an admin".
  • If your plan does not include custom domains, the add-domain row reads "Requires a paid plan — upgrade to unlock".

Read the 7-day pulse

Once setup is complete, the pulse replaces the checklist as the top card. It is captioned "Last 7 days" with the exact UTC date range, and shows four tiles in funnel order: Clicks, Installs, Matches, Active users. Each tile carries a delta chip comparing it to the previous 7 days.

If all four totals are zero, you get one quiet card instead of four zeros: "No clicks or matches in the last 7 days. The pulse appears here once your links receive traffic."

"View analytics →" in the card header opens the full analytics pages. What the numbers mean and how to slice them is covered in Analytics.

Track your click quota

Below the pulse, a usage strip shows your plan label and "clicks this cycle" as used / limit, or "Unlimited" when no limit applies. A progress bar appears only when your plan has a limit.

  • Past 80% of the limit, the bar turns warning-colored and the copy reads "Approaching your monthly click limit."
  • At the limit it reads "Monthly click limit reached."
  • The strip ends with the reset date, e.g. "Resets Oct 1", taken from your current billing period.

The whole strip is a link to the plans page ("View plans and usage"). How quotas and feature gates work in general is explained in Plans, quotas & entitlements.

The bottom card lists your 5 most recent links: the short URL in monospace (truncated if long), an optional channel badge, and the relative creation date. Clicking a row opens that link's detail page; "View all →" opens the full links list.

If your org has no links yet, the empty state depends on your role: members who can create links see a "Create your first link" prompt with a button; viewers see "Links your team creates will appear here."

Use the header quick actions

The page header shows Create link (opens the template picker) and Add custom domain. These render only for developer roles and above; if you don't see them, your role is below developer and the checklist hint above applies.

React to the "Needs attention" strip

When something needs action (a failed payment, a plan limit, a domain awaiting review, a pending invitation), a "Needs attention" strip appears at the top of Home, above the checklist, with a deep link for each item. The full catalog of alerts, who sees each one, and where the actions lead is covered in Notifications & alerts.

Loading and errors

Each section loads on its own: skeletons per checklist row, per pulse tile, and per recent-link row, so sections appear as their data lands. If one section fails to load, it shows its own error banner with a Retry button; the other sections keep working.
