Notifications & alerts

Today the portal has one alert surface: the Needs attention strip at the top of the Home page. It appears only when something needs action and disappears entirely when nothing does. There are no email digests or notification preferences; alerts are portal-only.

Each alert carries an action button that deep-links to the page where you fix the thing. Alerts render top to bottom in a fixed priority order, which is the order below.

Payment past due

When your subscription's latest charge fails and the gateway marks it past-due, the alert tells you what happens next, and the wording depends on your payment gateway:

  • Stripe (USD): "Stripe retries the charge automatically."
  • Paymob (EGP): "The last charge to your saved card didn't go through" — no automatic retry is claimed.

Both versions name the fallback ("your organization moves to the free Starter plan") and show a deadline: a concrete date when one is known, otherwise "by the end of the current billing period".

Fix payment opens Settings on the Billing tab. Only owners see the button; other members see the alert without it. What past-due means for your service and how recovery works: Billing & subscription.

Plan-limit alerts

"At or over plan limits" fires when a quota is exhausted or past its limit; "Approaching plan limits" fires earlier, at 80% of any limit. Both list the affected quotas by name, for example "clicks (monthly), domains", and both link Upgrade to the plans page.

The 80% and 100% thresholds are the same ones that color the usage strip on Home. How quotas are counted and what happens when one runs out: Plans, quotas & entitlements.

Domain awaiting review

A newly added custom domain that needs admin verification produces one info item per waiting domain:

go.example.com is waiting for admin review. Configure the CNAME record while you wait.

View domain opens the Domains page where you can check and finish the DNS setup. The verification lifecycle and what REQUESTED status means: Custom domains.

Pending team invitations

Unaccepted invitations show as a count. Members below admin never see this item (the portal doesn't fetch invitations for them at all). View team opens Settings on the Team tab, where admins and owners can revoke invites (there is no resend — revoke and invite again). Inviting and roles: Team & roles.

Missing alerts

Alerts are derived from live data. If the data behind one hasn't loaded (for example, right after sign-in while requests are still settling), its alert is absent rather than shown broken; reload the page to refresh.
